Projected Itinerary
Your journey will be overflowing with amazing cultural activities but will be nicely balanced with lots of time to rest, relax, and explore! See below for our projected itinerary.

Because travelers will be departing from airports around the country, departure and arrival times to Bali will vary throughout the day of May 14th and 15th. We will arrive to Denpasar Airport.

We’ll take an easy day in Ubud and enjoy a group welcome dinner with our cultural hosts in Bali.

We will gather together for a group orientation to the course and Balinese culture. Afterwards, we’ll head out to a local market where we’ll have an opportunity to experience local culture and craft as well as change money as needed. We’ll have free time in the afternoon before a group dinner and Kecak performance.

We’ll start the day at Holy Spring temple, having our culture class on-site. We will spend the rest of the day touring a coffee plantation with amazing volcanic views. We’ll enjoy dinner as a group and then have free time in the evening.

We’ll begin the day with a cooking class where we will learn to make traditional local food. We’ll enjoy our homemade lunch and then have free time until dinner and an evening performance of Legong.

We’ll will enjoy a day-long trip to UN recognized rice terraces, learning about their cultural and historical significance. We will then continue on to Lake Bratan and a local waterfall, taking our lunch along the way. We’ll return to Ubud in time for a group dinner and then have a free evening.

In the morning, we will have the opportunity to learn about and experiment with traditional batik painting. After lunch, we’ll have the chance to do some shopping, enjoy a lunch together, and then have free time in the evening post dinner.

Our course will take place at Wayan Village, where we will stay for the morning and eat lunch in the community.
In the afternoon, we will participate in two cultural workshops centered on music and dance.
After a group dinner, we will head to a Barong performance.

We’ll begin the day with a workshop introducing us to traditional shadow puppetry. Later on, we will have a talk and demonstration of balinese masks.
In the evening we’ll have dinner together and then free time to explore.

The group will transfer this day to their new lodging in East Bali, in a seaside coastal town called Candidasa where we will check into our lodging, Puri Bagus Candidasa Hotel.
After dinner, we’ll have free time get to know the area.

We’ll visit famous white sand beaches and rest and relax during the day. After sharing meals together, we will head to the night market.

We’ll spend the day in Tenganan Bali Aga Village, connecting with locals and experiencing local life in this region of Bali.
In the evening, we’ll have a group reflection on the trip and dinner together.

There will be no formal programs on this day but ample opportunity to do any last minute shopping or excursions on your own.
