A Doorway to Malta: Exploring the Island’s Hidden History

Spend 10 days exploring the Mediterranean islands of Malta, a fascinating nation just off the Southern coast of Italy. Your host is Ian Robertson, the beloved former Dean of Work and Garden Manager at Warren Wilson College, who has led many groups to Malta over the years. As always, Ian’s group will be warmly received and guided by Elaine Pirotta, Ian’s sister, who has lived in Malta for over 30 years. By day, the group will explore historic sites dating back to the neolithic area, enjoy scenic ferry rides and exploration of traditional villages, and will join Elaine’s Maltese “ramblers” group for walks through the Maltese countryside. The evenings will be spent enjoying Mediterranean sunsets and the convivial atmosphere of Malta’s restaurants, pubs, and neighborhoods.
