Course Cost: $650 (+ $75 materials fee)

Explore the unique artists and artwork found within the Appalachia region and Western North Carolina. From historical to contemporary, this course will delve into the compelling history, diverse mediums, and cultural influences that have shaped art and craft from this distinctive region. The course would be a combination of lecture, class discussion, art-making, film, and offsite trips to area organizations, such as the Art Museum, BMC, and the Center for Craft to see art works in person.
