Timber-Framed Mirror
Are you curious about timber framing but don't want to or have the time to build an entire house? This course will allow you to explore timber framing on a smaller scale. You can either design or work off a template to create a handwork joinery frame.
Summer Knitting Camp: Learn Now, Be Prepared for Winter!
A magnificent and thorough foray into all the knitting skills and knowledge you'll need to get you through infinite Autumns & Winters knitting happily away. Hats, shawls, mittens, even sweaters or socks: all skills start here with the basics! Great for newbies, returners, or intermediate knitters who want to refine their skills. Instructor excels at helping learners write their own patterns and alter existing ones. Become immersed in the world of fibers, ply, twist, texture, and color!
Craft & the Land
Working with materials grown or raised on our land on campus such as wool, natural dyes and other plants, we will explore the processes of dyeing, felting and basketry. Learning about the historical and environmental importance of these materials, come away with a set of hand dyed napkins, a felted bag, a basket, a week of memories, and a variety of new skills.
Beginning Loom Weaving: A Week of Cloth
Explore the wonderful world of weaving on a floor loom. Explore a variety of weaving techniques in your day 1 sampler, then learn how to thread a loom and spend the rest of the week weaving a set of towels, a scarf, or a scroll of art cloth of your choice.
Turning Bowls on the Wood Lathe
Learn to make beautiful bowls on the wood lathe. During this hands-on immersive week we'll cover both green and dry wood, as well as multiple tools and cutting techniques, and learn to turn more than just bowls.
