Explore the wonderful world of weaving on a floor loom. Explore a variety of weaving techniques in your day 1 sampler, then learn how to thread a loom and spend the rest of the week weaving a set of towels, a scarf, or a scroll of art cloth of your choice.

We will start the week out understanding how the loom works, situating ourselves into the history of woven cloth, while we play with different materials, colors and textures. Learners will then make their own project warp, learn how to thread the looms, and work on weaving a small project of choice, either a table runner, wall hanging, or a couple of placemats or towels. 

It will be a dynamic week of curiosities, some simple math, fun colors, good company and hopefully avoiding cross threads. 

I will meet students where they are at, and gauge their challenges and excitements, and may help guide choices if indecision steps in. But mostly, I hope you fall in love with weaving and allow the week to bring the threads of your life together into your handwoven cloth.
